The College Network - RN program Pre-requisites

I finished my RN-Program prerequisites at the East Los Angeles College. I got a student loan with Southeast Financial Credit Union and sent my transcripts to The College Network. The counselor reviewed my transcripts and told me to take the Clep test for Analyses and Interpreting of Literature. I took the test, and I realized Humanities will replaced it and my counselor accepted it, then he sent me to find one college where to be tested for Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, etc...didn't sound right to me. I called Southeast Financial Credit Union asking for my student loan refund, the clerk told me to talk to The College Network. I called The College Network the clerk told me to talk to Southeast Financial Credit Union.

The College Network in Crockett, Texas - Just like every other scam

1.1
Details
I graduated from the LVN program and during school The College Network came to the school and told us about the "School","program". As soon as i got my LVN i started The college network, this was in 2012 the woman was just like any other scam artist who tries to sale you something, she sugar coated it so much i know for a fact she said this was a school, when in reality its a PUBLISHING and RESEARCH company when i contacted excelsior after i had been paying every month on the dot for over two years about enrolling in the school the lady at excelsior informed me that the classes i had taken with TCN would not transfer over as they did not accept TCN stuff anymore she then told me about TCN scam and how she talks to atleast a couple people in the same situation everyday she told me the price that i could have paid had i just used Excelsior directly and i would get Financial aid! I didnt want to believe it so i called TCN and talked to several different people and got vague run around in circles answers. I stopped the payments and now here it is 2 years later and i literally get phone calls every three months or so from some company saying they are representing TCN and that TCN is currently moving my account to prelegal status where they will seek legal actions and the right to enforce that by any means necessary should i not pay and what are my intentions. The last time they called which was today the guy told me that the SCHOOL was going to move the case to seek legal remedies it WAS IN PRELEGAL everytime they call i get threatened, told it was a school, told i was going to get sued unless i paid the account today in full, and these people when they call are so vulgar and rude. I cant even express how much of a scam this place is granted some people i know were told the truth, i can assure you the woman who sold me on this did not tell me ANYTHING truthful i wasted so so so much money and TIME. they say you have to make mistakes to learn, well if you make this mistake after reading ALL the reviews out there now you have no reason to get mad when you find out you got scammed.

The College Network in Plainville, Connecticut - Misslead, money and dreams lost, time I can never get back!!

Details
In 2010 I too was mislead by TCN salesperson, related to time and classes it would take for my RN, told they worked with excelsior, 3/4 of my way to my degree( I thought) I found out that I had to enroll with excelsior at a additional fee, exam fee checks were taking 6 months ( losing more time) after calling TCN countless times. Also my sciences are expiring and if I wish to continue it will cost me a additional 6000 dollars on top of the 12,000 dollars already spent.. So now I'm 54 years old broke with no degree in sight!!! Please anyone thinking of TCN as a degree option, DON'T GET SCAMMED. My dreams of becoming a RN are over thanks to TCNs misleading, over priced books, they are crooks!!!

The College Network in Muskegon, Michigan - Misinformed regarding educational requirements

When I signed up for the classes back in 2012 I was also under the impression that I was signed up under Excelsior. My course analysis has the Excelsior name on it so I can understand why I would think that, however, when I rec'd a letter stating that my AP 1, AP2 and Microbiology would need to be retaken because they were more than 5 years old I thought would inquire. Unfortunately, I specifically remember EIN PECK telling me these WOULD NEVER EXPIRE. I was also under the impression that the 8000 dollars was the total. WRONG. There are many more expenses to pay in order to complete the RN. This was a very misleading and had I read the reviews I would not of done this. Also, the other sign should of been the fact that you get a loan through a credit union so none of the expense can be deducted on your income taxes. This was very misleading and I am informing everyone who asks me about this NOT to make the same mistake I did. As far as I am concerned this is nothing but a SCAM. I have inquired on terminating the contract and TCN would not allow it.

I was a student at The College Network, and I like many of you feel misled by The College Network. Adhoot and Wolfson law firm is working with me on a contingency (meaning we don't get charge), if they win the case they will bill TCN for their fees.

My contact at the Ahdoot and Wolfson law firm is Vanessa S, please call 310 474 9111, ahdootwolfson.com. This law firm is accepting clients nationwide for this class action law suit.

Ms. Plumhoff,

Although your course analysis lists Excelsior as the degree-granting institution, your purchase agreement paperwork and the cover letter accompanying your course analysis includes the statement: The College Network, Inc.

has no affiliation or partnership with Excelsior College®.

As with all of our customers pursing degree programs, the college or university with which you plan to enroll makes the final determination on the acceptance of courses. In addition to the acceptance of courses, the college or university also determines the degree requirements. In the case of your Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology courses, the degree-granting institution (Excelsior) made a curriculum change and decided they would no longer accept courses in Anatomy & Physiology or Microbiology if they had been completed outside of 5 years from your enrollment date.

With regard to the financial aspects of your purchase, the paperwork you were presented with at the point of sale explains TCN’s type of business, as well as how the educational study program that you have purchased works. This includes the disclosure of the financial aspects of your purchase in accordance with the federal Truth in Lending Act.

Although some online reviews paint a less than positive picture, the fact of the matter is that they represent less than 1% of our customer base.

We have many satisfied customers who we have assisted with their studies and who have earned their degrees. To see some of their stories, please visit YouTube® and enter the keywords “College Network.” These individuals have demonstrated that, with hard work and dedication, anyone can achieve their goals.

There is no expiration on the TCN portion of your purchase, and we would appreciate the opportunity to assist you.

Your success and satisfaction with our products and services is important to us. Please contact Customer Support at 1-800-634-1443 at your convenience to discuss your concerns.

The College Network in Mount Laurel, New Jersey - LPN to RN

I was asked over the phone if I was interested in becoming an RN. Next thing I was getting bills in the mail. I never authorized my social security number to be utilized for anything. THis scam is ridiculous and I want the company OUT OF BUSINESS. my address is 113 albatross avenue. I think the company targets new LPN who are licensed in the state of New Jersey. College Network visited my vocational school in Toms River and many LPNs joined up in hopes of becoming RNs very soon... all they got were phone numbers emails and numberous bills without any legible route to RN classes.
